Both games are fantastic. I say all of this as someone who played a whole lot of RuneScape gold, was comp'd, and also did all its articles. Frankly the main reason I switched is because I felt taken advantage of. I had been getting very frustrated with all the guaranteed updates at RuneFest getting delayed and ultimately shelved. I had been getting really frustrated playing out of a time where we obtained four match updates per month, to 2 match updates per month, to a single match upgrade a month, to just ninja fixes in a month with meaningful game updates after every 3 months. It feels really bad to play a match where the devs are dishonest about what the expectations should be, and the way that gets perpetuated for years now.

I understand Jagex is also accountable for OSRS, so it feels a bit weird saying"I abandoned Jagex's RS3 to get Jagex's OSRS because of Jagex." However, the OSRS dev team can give realistic expectations for upgrades, does not miss deadlines, and is plugged in to the community. There are few large upgrades, but they constantly are large hits: CoX, ToB, Inferno, MM2, DS2, Prif, etc. like I do not mind only getting a couple of big updates a year, and a few small ones such as mahogany houses peppered in here and there differently.

All game developers"miss" some kind of"deadlines" because project plans change often within this business. Do not say OSRS does not miss deadlines. Yeah. A worldwide outbreak occurred. Find me another example from when there was not a worldwide pandemic? Big thing is that it had been communicated too. You are right that it happens frequently in the market, but it occurs an undesirable amount in RS3.

There's a laundry list of all RS3 updates which were postponed, trashed, etc. spanning back over the previous 5 years... that honestly I am sure is better outlined with an existing post on this particular subreddit. They tend to not convey these items too. It is a massive point of frustration for your playerbase. It's a literal meme with this subreddit. This does not even factor in how upgrades that DO get published often times leave players believing"was that this tested in any way?" (instance: ripper demon familiars, omegalul).

I was a comp'd RS3 participant. I still like the game. This isn't an OSRS vs RS3 position, this is just a"RS3 continually fucks up their update program and it is incredibly upsetting" stance. Tithe Farm to get Farming so you can brute force farming xp if you opt to cheap RS gold do so.
