I like the Animal Crossing Bells. I believe if they genuinely mean they mean to evolve the match, and not do the BS which GameFreak does using Pokemon(where they include a new mechanic but remove so much that it feels like a step backwards), then I am excited about that.

The game does have some serious shortcomings which need to be dealt with at the next iteration for it to be a guaranteed purchase from me, though. Villagers would be the huge one. The character types are too indistinguishable, and we need variations on each personality(eg Snooty Villager A is a sass queen who is more inclined to produce lines concerning how'quaint' the decoration she's next to is, even while Snooty Villager B is an art-lover who's more likely to produce a line concerning the artistic worth of the decoration). It's weird to have two villagers with the specific same personality, and it inevitably makes you feel like a third-wheel since you don't think they're as cute as the other is. Similarly, we just plain need additional lines for every villager type because the repetition really kills the illusion of those animals being your buddies. There's also not much you can do with them. It would be great to have the ability to, say, invite them over to your home or tell them to meet you at the museum within one hour or something.

Another huge shortcoming of the series is the lack of thickness with item interactivity. More items will need to be interactive(eg you should be able to lounge in pools just like you can with seats ), and lots of things should be more striking when used(eg that the cannon should produce a genuine cannonball instead of a gloomy puff of smoke, arcades should have a tiny mini-game attached). This is especially true of larger items that take up a lot of room. For how big it is, it is really annoying that I can not get into the teacup ride.

Been a massive fan of this show because Wild World, put tens of thousands of hours into Wild World and New Leaf each and buy bells acnh loved both those matches. Will be a number of my all time favorites forever.
