ESO Gold Farming Method: Go Heavy on Crafting

If you have time and are committed to making the most Gold, the best way to do this is via crafting. Late in the game, crafted items can be among the best you can equip

Elder Scrolls Online has just launched the housing update, which allows players to purchase a home. The upcoming Morrowind expansion pack this Summer will bring the new Warden class and a new area to explore. For that, you’ll need to make sure your armor and weapons are ready. With so much new upcoming content, you’ll have to earn money to afford all of the new items.

Gathering materials

The first way to make gold quickly is to gather materials that can either be used for crafting or sold for gold. Now, one of my favorite spots is Bal Foyen. Bal Foyen is very rich when it comes to materials, meaning you have the opportunity to make a good profit. The best spot within Bal Foyen is northeast of the Dhalmora shrine, close to the docks.

Other spots you might want to check out are Stormhaven and Craglorn.

As for materials themselves, the materials that drop will be affected by your level and the skill points you invested on CP – crafting professions. Simply put, the higher your level and skill points on CP, the more often you’ll find high-level nodes.

Crafting

If you have time and are committed to making the most Gold, the best way to do this is via crafting. Late in the game, crafted items can be among the best you can equip. It takes a lot of time and effort to reach this point, but once you do, you will be among the 1% of the player base who can make elite, top tier items, and you will be able to charge a pretty heft price for the pieces you make. Crafters who focus on armor and weapons will be able to profit even more than others, but there will also be more competition, so keep that in mind when picking the trade of your choice.

Buy low, sell high

Put on your trader hat and get ready to haggle and bargain. OK, so you don’t need the hat, but still… it looks cool. Anyway, the idea here is to check out the stalls to find items that players are selling below their global worth and buy them. Once you do, you can then head down to your Guild trader and resell for a higher price.

Now, there will always be a 8% fee applied to the items you sell, so base your price with that in mind. To take full advantage of this method, you’ll need to explore different Guild trader shops, as some are wealthier and possess a richer stock of items. So, the more prestigious the guild, the better the odds of finding valuable and rare items that can be sold off somewhere else for a better price.

Repeat DungeonsGear is Gold, so the more gear you find, the more gold you can make. Repeating Dungeons is a great way to earn extra gear, that you can then sell to others who may not be as inclined to repeat the same dungeon 10 times. Repeating them can be tedious, but you also get the benefit of earning extra levels for your character and skilling up your skills, should some of them be lagging behind in levels.

DAILY QUESTS AND THIEVERY

Another quick method of earning some gold in Elder Scrolls Online is doing various daily quests. The Fighter’s Guild, Mage’s Guild and the Undaunted all provide 1-1 daily quest each which can be soloed, as those direct you to a public dungeon or a delve. The reward for these is some gold (302g at level 50) and 2-4 sellable white items with the Ornate trait, so one such quest nets you about 700-900g each. All three of these organizations can be found in the cities of Wayrest, Mournhold or Elden Root.

If you have access to the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood DLC areas, these also have various infinitely repeatable quests, which can be used to make quick gold in Elder Scrolls Online. For the Thieves Guild, you can just keep dropping the quest to generate another at the Tip Board. Avoid the ones where the objective is to pickpocket 10 citizens or pickpocket 3 specific items – these take too long and the risk of being noticed is too high – instead, go for the Safebox-pilfering quests. Don’t forget to sell any ill-begotten goods at the Fence NPC back in the guild hall.
